Just Announced! Holiday Workshop & Fundraiser for Camp Southern Ground

We are pleased to announce we are teaming up again with old friend, Rebecca Wood.

Rebecca heads up the hospitality and baking kitchen (referred to affectionately as the “Studio Mama”) at the recording studio of Southern Ground Nashville for multi-platinum GRAMMY-award winning artist Zac Brown, of Zac Brown Band.

Twenty percent (20%) of the proceeds for this class will be donated to Zac’s non-profit passion project Camp Southern Ground located near us in Fayetteville, Georgia, in support of Zac’s dream that “children of all abilities will have an opportunity to grow and learn from each other, while experiencing the magic of the outdoors.”

We’ll be doing a hands-on workshop:   Holiday Dinners:  Simple and Inspired Dishes.

Skillet Cornbread – yes, the best way to make cornbread!  And from real organic corm meal.  With an accompanying recipe on how to turn this into the traditional cornbread stuffing.

–Cranberry Apple Chutney – get over the canned cranberry jello!  Great with that Thanksgiving Turkey but happily accompanies any meat or cheese.  And we’ll show you how to safely can this Chutney, so you can make them up for holiday gift giving if you like.

–Pie Crust to Apple Galette – learn to make a pie crust (yes, we all shudder trying to do this, but you’ll be learning from an expert).  Then see how easy it is to turn that pie crust into an Apple Galette that will look beautiful and tempting on your buffet!

Bonus:  Southern Ground Studios will be sending a professional photographer to capture pictures during this workshop – for Rebecca’s future cookbook project.
