Introducing “Around the World” Heritage Cuisines
To launch our new Around The World authentic heritage cuisines, we have picked two popular cultures to introduce on our April calendar.
We are excited to preserve these international traditions with chefs who have crafted cuisines from their home countries that you can master and reproduce easily at home.
The Caribbean Kitchen: April 8, 1 to 4 pm. Chef Curtis Ross grew up in Trinidad and draws from his own distinct ethnic influences of Africa and India to share traditional Caribbean cuisines. An eco-lifestyle chef, Chef Curtis Ross teaches healthy-living foods with an island flair.
Join him as you learn and make Callaloo, a Trinidadian “mix-up” of island foods.
The Asian Kitchen: April 9, 1 to 4 pm. Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Kyan Wei family owns restaurants offering a diverse Asian influence, from tradition Chinese to Thai fusion. While living in New England, the West Coast and now in Atlanta, Kyan developed a passion for exploring food and cooking from various cultural influences.
During your time together, Kyan will help you identify the simple resources (5+1) around you, and help you learn and develop the flavors to make 3 to 5 new dishes from beginning to finish.
In both classes, you’ll enjoy your creations with your fellow cooks. Then take home lots of inspiration, recipes and instructions.
Come enjoy what the wide, wide world has to offer us!
